Jury members for Clio Awards 2015 have been announced. This year, there are three Indians among the jury members – Komal Bedi Sohal, CEO, Rediffusion Y&R, India; Swati (Arundhati) Bhattacharya, Head, Dentsu Mama Lab; and Sachin Karle, Executive Creative Director, MSLGroup Creative + Social Hive.

Clio Awards is an annual award programme that recognises innovation and creative excellence in advertising, design and communication, as judged by an international panel of advertising professionals. The awards ceremony will be held on September 30 in New York.

Rediffusion Y&R's Sohal will be part of the jury for Print, Print Technique & Out Of Home. Her advertising journey started 23 years ago, during which she has worked on several award winning campaigns for brands including Harvey Nichols, Land Rover, Colgate and Microsoft Xbox, to name a few. She has also served on the juries at the Cannes Lions, Adfest, New York Festivals and One Screen.

Dentsu Mama Lab's Swati Bhattacharya will be on the judging panel for the Innovative and Integrated Campaign category. Bhattacharya had joined Dentsu in November last year to set up Mama Lab in India. Starting life as a junior copy trainee in JWT India, she moved on to become the National Creative Director before leaving her first job. She is a writer whose work focuses on gender, feminism, urban life, love and popular culture and spans many forms, including advertising, documentary, short films and blogs. Her first film, 'Belle De Jour', has won the Spikes Gold and the second film, 'Double Shift', has been featured in the Vancouver Film Festival and Miami Shorts.

Commenting on being part of the jury for Clio Awards 2015, Bhattacharya said, “I am really looking forward to judging in the Innovative and Integrated Campaign category at Clio this year. Integrated has become everybody's favourite category because you get to see the hands, legs, and the body of the entire campaign. For me, Clio means the best work from around the world. The fact that I am the only one from India (in this category) makes it all the more special.”

MSLGroup Creative + Social Hive's Karle will be part of the jury for Public Relations. He has over 20 years of work experience and in this time he has worked with global groups like Interpublic Group, WPP, Publicis Groupe and various mid-sized agencies. As Executive Creative Director of MSLGroup India, Karle heads the integrated team that has been forged out of Creative + and Social Hive. In the course of his career, he has worked for clients like Sony, Airtel, Reliance Telecom, The Times of India, Cadbury's, Unilever, ITC, Amul, Conagra Foods, Mahindra Group, HSBC, ICICI, Asian Paints, Kansai Nerolac Paints, Future Group, Aditya Birla Group, Ultratech Cement, Blue Star ACs, Voltas, British Airways, Fiat, Tata Motors, Castrol, TCS, Discovery TLC, Star TV and Sony Pix.
