The 11th IAMAI Marketing Conclave, to be held on June 9-10 at The Lalit, Mumbai, will witness industry leaders speaking on the strong emergence of the digital marketplace. It is now well established that the online marketplace has helped retailers with a physical store to sell across the country creating employment opportunities in thousands.

The 11th IAMAI Marketing Conclave will dwell on the changing digital marketing nuances. In the last one year, the evolution of hyper mobility has created all new platforms for marketers. For brand custodians, the digital space is becoming not only intriguing but also challenging. To reach out to the consumer, an integrated channel strategy is what marketers are exploring. What is more challenging for marketers today is the quick shift from Mobile First to a Mobile Only era.

Some of the key issues and challenges currently faced by marketers and consumers will be addressed by leading industry experts like CVL Srinivas, CEO, GroupM South Asia; Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network; Rajesh Jain, Founder & Managing Director, netCore Solutions; Prabhvir Sahmey, Head of Platform Solutions & Innovation, Google India; Mohan Jayaram, Managing Director, Experian, amongst others.

Google’s Sahmey said, “Programmatic is the underdog of the digital industry and it is going to go mainstream very soon. It is the searchification of display advertising.”

Speaking about the relevance of digital marketing, netCore’s Jain commented, “Marketing is changing profoundly with technology becoming an integral part of the function. The line between traditional marketing and digital marketing is blurring with the increasing adoption of internet and smartphones by users. An organisation’s marketing strategy now needs to be complemented with a technology strategy.”

This year the conclave gains significance because, according to the IAMAI-IMRB Digital Advertising Report 2014, the Indian Digital Commerce market stood at Rs 81,525 crore and is set to cross Rs 100,000 crore by end-2015. This will be an important landmark and the conclave will provide a platform for key stakeholders to brainstorm and set the agenda for the next big leap forward.
