Naidu & Panjabi rolls out their first ad film for Ziffi

The ad film seeks to establish Ziffi, a beauty and wellness booking app, as the smartest way to book personal care appointments with a hilarious storyline

Naidu & Panjabi, the recently launched Mumbai-headquartered boutique creative agency, has rolled out their first ad for Ziffi, a beauty and wellness booking app. With clients ranging from personal care to hospitality and e-commerce, the agency is helmed by Keshav Naidu and Kahini Panjabi. Within a few days of inception, they had bagged the account for Ziffi. A first outing for the agency, the Ziffi ad film also marks the directorial debut of Kunaal Roy Kapur.

The first digital ad film for Ziffi by Naidu & Panjabi is a straight up film that explains how the app can improve life. The ad film was created with the brief to help establish Ziffi as the smartest way to book personal care appointments. The ad film portrays how using Ziffi is fast, convenient and absolutely private through a young woman who faces many awkward situations and stares as she goes about making her spa and salon appointments – while in a lift, at a temple, shopping and at her office.

Naidu & Panjabi conceptualised, wrote and executed the film and also cast Kaneez Surka as the hapless young woman having to go through the embarrassing situations while booking her personal care appointments.

Keshav Naidu, Co-founder, Naidu & Panjabi, commented, “As people who believe that the inherent drama lies in the product itself, our job was to find it and present it in the most interesting manner. In the case of Ziffi, this inherent drama is getting rid of the drama that surrounds salon and spa bookings. We could have never pulled off something like this on TV, and we're glad we have the clients who push for this kind of edgy, creative work.”

Kahini Panjabi

Kahini Panjabi, Co-founder, Naidu & Panjabi, added here, “Writing the script was the fun part, the trickier part was finding the right girl to play the role. What can I say, it's not everyday that you find someone who lets you pull a moustache out of their backside!”

Director Kunaal Roy Kapoor couldn't have asked for a better commercial to work with. He said, “I have been really fortunate to work on this script. With Keshav and Kahini, the endeavour was always to make something funny that people will enjoy watching and want to share. It takes a really bold client to be fine with this content, and Ziffi has been really supportive and eager to experiment.”
