Deodorant brand Envy 1000 has launched its new ad campaign with brand ambassador Irrfan Khan, which highlights the deo brand's long-lasting durability. The film, conceptualised by Shop Advertising, features the actor in a fantasy setting where skimpily-dressed angels (mimicking other deo ads) are hovering around him.
Taking a dig at other deo ads in the market, Khan falls back to reality and comments that other brands show stuff far from reality to get the attention of the consumers, and informs that Envy 1000 deo spray lasts for more than eight months.
Commenting on the campaign, Saurabh Gupta, CMO, Envy 1000, said, “Irrfan Khan represents the image of a common man. When someone like him endorses a brand, then it is more like whatever he is saying makes a sense and that invites consumers to use the product. Consumers will understand that our promises are 100 per cent true.”
Naved Akhtar, Creative Director, Shop Advertising, pointed out that the themes of other deodorant advertisements are not realistic. He noted, “Most of the deo ads show the brand and a girl, which is far from the reality. They not only degrade the man, but also show him to be so helpless and talentless that he has to apply a deo to get a girl. So, our campaign is a sarcastic take on that.”
