The Creative Abbys saw J. Walter Thompson walk away with the maximum number of metals this year.
Commenting on the win, Senthil Kumar, National Creative Director, J. Walter Thompson, India, said, “It is a great feeling to be voted the No. 1 Creative Agency of The Year in the country. While our primary aim is to pioneer creative solutions for our clients and ensure that the consumers choose our clients brands and make them market leaders, creativity is the epicentre of our universe, with the consumer as the unforgiving jury in the market place.”
“In the process, if we aim for the original idea and push hard on the execution and never give up, no matter how many obstacles arise, the work is destined to be recognised by both the consumer and the creative jury at the national level or even on the international stage,” Kumar added.
Elaborating on their victory further, he added, “This fabulous result should motivate our creative teams across the six JWT offices in the country to aim higher and shift the finish line next year. 35 National Awards, including nine coveted Golds at Goafest 2015, for JWT make it the undisputed creative agency of the year.”
Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison World, noted, “The agencies have been performing amazingly every year. This time, we at Madison won encouraging amount of metals, but we surely want to achieve more.”
Commenting on his agency's performance at the Abbys this year, Rana Barua, CEO, Contract Advertising, said, “It was a good achievement to have won 22 metals across various categories. The competition was good and such awards motivate the team to perform bigger and better every year. Overall, I am quite happy with our performance at Abbys.”
Santosh Padhi, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Taproot India, said, “We did well and stood at No. 3, but the aim is to be at No. 1 and No. 2. But, I am also happy with the kind of work that we did this year and we will surely work harder towards achieving the positions above us. The overall quality of work has been good. Goafest is about quality and quality. It is about winning for good work in various categories. Since we are a small agency and do not operate in various different segments, we had no entries in many categories, but what we do, we do with passion and hence, we have been really strong in few categories like Print, OOH, TV, Integrated and Design.”
Ashish Bhasin Chairman & CEO - South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network, Chairman, Posterscope and psLive - Asia Pacific, added here, “It is one the best Goafests attended so far. I am really feeling good to see my team picking up awards for their passionate work.”
Nakul Chopra, CEO - South Asia at Publicis, remarked, “Looking at the quality of work this year, it made us realise that the competition is becoming stronger day by day. These awards, more than being just awards, stand strong as a motivational aspect for the team members. It was a good win for the agency, but we will surely work hard towards upping our work.”
Pradeep Dwivedi, Chief Corporate Sales & Marketing Officer, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “It feels great winning awards and getting appreciated for the hard work. It motivates the team members to keep up the hard work.”
