apaceffie2015_logoWinners for the APAC Effie Awards 2015 were announced at the awards gala held on April 10, 2015 in Singapore, honouring Asia Pacific's most effective marketing campaigns. The awards gala presented a total of 61 Awards – one Grand Effie, 17 Golds, 19 Silvers and 24 Bronzes. The Grand Effie was awarded to Havas Worldwide and Child Survival India for their campaign – 'No Child Brides'.

The winners emerged from 92 finalists across 36 categories and the coveted Agency of the Year Award went to Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai, who picked up eight awards – two Golds, four Silvers and two Bronzes. Lowe & Partners Worldwide Mumbai and DDB Auckland came in second and third, respectively.

Ogilvy & Mather was named Agency Network of the Year, picking up a total of four Golds, four Silvers and four Bronzes from its agencies in the region, followed by BBDO Worldwide and Lowe & Partners.

Commenting on the win, Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and Creative Director, Ogilvy South Asia, said, “I am truly blessed to be surrounded with so much great talent focused on creating great work. India was the biggest winner, walking away with a total haul of 18 awards, including the Grand Effie, followed by Australia and New Zealand with 15 and 11 awards, respectively. Indian agencies won five Gold, seven Silver and five Bronze awards.

Havas Worldwide Mumbai's campaign, titled 'No Child Brides' for Child Survival India won the Grand Effie this year in the Good Works - Non Profit category. The entry was awarded a Gold Award for the work in the same category.

The integrated campaign began on-ground, was widely written about in the print media, and went viral online. Millions of young girls and women lent their support to the campaign to create awareness for an India where there would be no more child brides.

Delighted at the win, Nirmalya Sen, CEO - India of Havas Worldwide, said, “This is big and we are truly thrilled, even more so given the objective of the campaign. Soho Square's 'The campaign that created history' for the Bharatiya Janata Party won the agency a Gold in the Government/ Institutional category. The agency also won a Silver for its work titled 'Humanising Technology in India' for client Voltas.

Lowe Lintas + Partners' entry, titled 'From Dark to Connectivity', for Unilever won two Gold awards in the Branded Utility and Media Innovation categories. Ogilvy & Mather won a Gold for their entry, 'Message Barter', for The Akanksha Foundation in the Small Budget Services category.
