CouponDunia showcases reactions to gifts

Conceptualised by Eccentric Engine, the digital video humorously gives out the message of making loved ones happy without spending too much money this festive season

In the festive season, gifts are the norm. Eccentric Engine has crafted a campaign for CouponDunia this Diwali which highlights the feelings and reactions of people while receiving a gift from a dear one.

The video features reactions from a boy’s family members when he approaches them with gifts. His mother praises the wrapping paper and talks about showing the gift off to one of her friends; his father is angry that he spent his money buying gifts; his girlfriend is not too pleased with the gift as she expected something better; his sister, at first, doesn’t believe there is actually a gift inside the box and then teases him for taking money from their father to buy it. His grandfather gets nostalgic and remembers the good old days when sweets would be given as gifts. His house help is overwhelmed with emotion and becomes speechless at being gifted something. The video ends with the caption: ‘Unki khushi, aapki bachat’ (their happiness, your savings).
