ITV Network yesterday announced the elevation of Rahul Shivshankar as Editor-in-Chief, NewsX. Shivshankar had joined the channel in September 2013 as Managing Editor, and has been instrumental in redefining the approach of NewsX to daily news coverage. Apart from his behind the scenes responsibilities, Shivshankar anchors the channel's flagship primetime shows 'Nation@9:00pm' and 'India Debates' on weekdays.

In a career spanning almost 20 years, he has served as Executive Editor of Headlines Today (TV Today Network) and as Senior Editor of Times Now.
