Sushma Rajesh will now be the VP - Marketing and Yubraj Bhattacharya will replace her as the new Programming Head

Life OK, Star Network’s second general entertainment channel, has announced some senior level changes. It has appointed Sushma Rajesh as VP - Marketing. Earlier, she was the Programming Head at Life OK. Yubraj Bhattacharya, who was Creative Director, will replace Rajesh as the new Head of the Programming.
No announcement was made on who will fill up the Creative Director’s post following Bhattacharya’s new assignment.
Speaking about her new role, Sushma Rajesh said, “I am more nervous than being excited. But I would like to say that I have been with Life OK even before it was launched, so the involvement with the channel is intense. Life OK as a channel is at a very interesting juncture, after being on air for more than 32 months, and I feel that the real journey has begun now.”
Bhattacharya said, “The new role comes with a lot of responsibility and I am very excited to be in my new shoes. The biggest challenge would be to create a new and an alternative formula which will be as successful as the saas-bahu serials.”
Life OK has held on to the number three spot in TAM ratings among Hindi GECs for the last two weeks (Week 26 & 27). The channel also held No. 3 position in Week 22 & 23. Commenting on the channel’s strong performance, Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK, said, “Personally, I am not a big believer in ranks as I believe there is only one rank, No. 1, and everything in between keeps on changing. However, having said this, I am super excited that we have reached this level without the regular saas-bahu content. I didn’t expect this to happen so soon as I believe in a slow and a steady movement. But having achieved this, the pressure at our end has increased tremendously and the next four shows which we have lined up will be very defining for us.”
