Dainik Bhaskar, one of India's leading print media companies, has announced the launch of a reader engagement activity – DB Vasiyat – for the group's three brands – Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Divya Bhaskar.
Vinay Maheshwari, Sr. VP, Sales and Market Development & Brand Management, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “Planning this event has been truly exhilarating. DB Vasiyat is a game of probability and luck for participants to pick the exact same bank locker and items to win the grand prize. This is a first-ever endeavour of such an event by the group. Innovation has been the hallmark of Dainik Bhaskar Group's growth and this event brings an exciting mix of the entertainment element and innovation to our reader engagement strategies connecting three of our brands – Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Divya Bhaskar.”
The event is based on the 'cut & paste' principle marking a unique twist to the otherwise mundane and regular activity frequently followed everywhere, and utilising it most creatively across the brands to enhance reader engagement culminating in exciting rewards not only for winners of the game but also the maximum number of loyal readers.
The activity will be executed at a national level commencing with the onset of the first activity cycle from July 4, 2014, whereby a total of 47 items will be published over 30 days in Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Divya Bhaskar. Participants have to locate, select and cut any 45 items out of the 47 to prepare their activity format. The activity format consists of nine bank lockers. If the reader's count of items in a particular bank locker matches with the organizer's format, the participant stands a chance to win a plot of land and a car among other significant prizes.
