Cannes Lions 2014: India secures 14 shortlists in Radio, Design & Cyber

India continues to get shortlists at Cannes as the Festival moves forward. With 14 shortlists in Design, Radio and Cyber, Indian agencies have much to hope for as the final winners in the categories are announced tomorrow, June 18. In the three categories combined, Ogilvy, JWT and McCann have secured four shortlists each. BBH and 22Feet Tribal Worldwide has one shortlist each as well.

Out of 146 shortlists worldwide in Radio, India has secured three. Incidentally, India had sent 24 entries in the category. McCann India's work for Yatra.com - 'The Finder' – has got shortlisted. Mumbai Police's 'Train' campaign by O&M is the second shortlist in the category. The third shortlist was secured by JWT India's 'Police Station' campaign for Mukti Foundation.

In the Design category, India has come through with five shortlists from a total of 92 entries sent. There are 248 shortlists globally.

McCann leads the Design shortlists with three entries for Big Babol - 'Mango', 'Pear' and 'Tangerine'. Operation Smile India's Cleft Awareness campaign, designed by O&M also received a shortlist. The campaign :(to:) or 'Cleft to Smile' has been a national favourite at many award shows. The fifth shortlist was Child Rights and You (CRY)'s 'Vote for Child Rights' campaign by BBH India.

In Cyber, there were 311 shortlists. India, after having sent 64 entries, has secured six shortlists in the category. In this category the agency leading the shortlist tally is JWT India with three. All three shortlists are for their campaign 'Make every yard count' for Nike.

O&M has secured two shortlists in the Cyber category. The first is for the popular 'Google Reunion' campaign, while the second is for Akanksha Foundation's 'Message Barter' campaign. The final shortlist in this category is for Tata Global Beverages' 'Push the Pin' campaign by 22Feet Tribal worldwide.
