Agnello Dias, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Taproot India, will be speaking at agIdeas, Melbourne International Design Week, Australia. agIdeas International Design Week is the most prestigious design festival in the world, and is the largest gathering of international design leaders globally.
Established in 1991 by Ken Cato, developed and presented by the Design Foundation, agIdeas offers an extraordinary line-up of events that celebrate design excellence and promotes the value of design driven innovation.
Aggie is speaking at 'Look Upstairs' and 'Design Futures'. Look Upstairs brings together the largest gathering of international design leaders from across 2D, 3D and digital disciplines as a professional development resource for creative practitioners. Forty-one speakers from 20 nations, global leaders from across communication, product, advertising, digital and the built environment will share their insights about practising in a world where design is converging with business, society, science and technology.
'Design Futures' is an informative way for 2,500 secondary school students to discover the different design disciplines and choose a course that best suits their skills and interests. In a two-hour presentation, students hear creative leaders tell illuminating stories describing what it's like to build a career in their specific field of expertise. Design Futures assists in the transition from secondary into the tertiary education sector and explores pathways to a career in a broad range of design disciplines including communication design, branding and identity, product and industrial design, interactive and multimedia design and design for the built environment.
agIdeas is one of the longest running and most highly respected design programmes in the world. It is the brainchild of celebrated Australian designer and visionary Ken Cato who curates the programme with support from an advisory group of 50 international design leaders. The programme evolved with endorsement from Alliance Graphique Internationale AGI, one of the world's most prestigious design industry bodies after the first meeting of AGI in Australia in 1991.
