Lipton Green Tea shows how to ‘feel light, feel active’

Lipton’s global campaign was brought to life via the creative idea of ‘Brings out your lighter side’. DDB Mudra West was briefed to execute and bring the brand’s global campaign and idea alive in India with Bollywood star Anushka Sharma.

Ashwath Swaminathan, Regional Marketing Manager, Hindustan Unilever, said, “We believe there is a great fit between Anushka and the Lipton – Lipton is a bright, curious and spirited brand and Anushka embodies all of this. Sunshine is a word I would use to describe both Lipton and Anushka. Watch this come alive in our latest campaign on Lipton green tea.”

The challenge for the communication was to get health conscious young adults to switch from their regular tea to Lipton Green Tea. The campaign idea magnifies how Lipton Green Tea is the healthier uplift that helps you stay on top of your busy day.

The TVC shows Anushka having tea with a couple of female friends. Anushka is the one who prefers to have Lipton Green Tea. The three friends then start walking on the street and come across little girls playing hopscotch. Typical of Anushka’s bubbly personality, and the fact that she consumes Lipton’s zero-calorie green tea, she joins the kids and starts playing hopscotch with them. A seesaw shot in between shows how a cup of Lipton Green Tea is much lighter than conventional tea.

The media used is television, mainly GEC channels; outdoor and bus shelters in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Along with this, it is heavily promoted on digital platforms.
