This year, the world’s biggest viewer’s choice awards just got bigger, better and simply spectacular! Deepika also took home the ‘Dhamakedar Performer Award’ for her victory run at the box office this year and SRK was given the award for being ‘The Most Influential Bollywood Personality on Social Media’.

Farhan Akhtar bagged the Best Actor-Male (Jury) award for his spirited performance in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The Best Actor-Female (Jury) award went to Sonakshi Sinha for her layered, sensitive performance in ‘Lootera’. Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra shone at the ceremony as he bagged the award for Best Film-Jury and Best Director-Jury for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ bagged three awards with the young and talented Ayaan Mukherjee clinching the trophies for Best Screenplay, Best Director (Popular) and Pritam won the award for the film’s background Score.

Having managed to find her own footing in the industry and carved a distinct niche for herself first as a successful choreographer, then as a film director and producer, Farah Khan bagged a special award at the ceremony. The ‘Stree Samman Award’ is a first-of-its-kind initiative at a film awards show aimed at recognizing the contribution made by industrious, enterprising women in a male-dominated industry. Farah was honored to be presented with the Stree Sanman award at the hands of Subhash Ghai.

Honey Singh, who had the audience dancing in their seats with a medley of his most popular chartbusters, went on to collect the International Icon- Male Award this year. Priyanka Chopra, with her international pop album this year, walked away with the International Icon- Female trophy.
