To create awareness on social issues like saving water, abuse against women and don't drink & drive, Manthan Art School is organising the 'Doodle Social Ad Festival 2014', which will bring together advertising professionals and students of commercial art to further the cause.
'Doodle Social Ad Festival', which is being organised at the PL Deshpande Academy, Ravindra Natya Mandir, in Mumbai from February 22 - March 2, 2014, and from March 6-9 at Pune's Bal Gandharva Natyagruha, combines competition, exhibition and workshops and invites professionals and students to participate.
The festival has been expanded this year to allow participants to send their nominations in the Print ad and Ad film categories. Top ad professionals will shortlist 50 of the best entries in each category, which will then be showcased in the exhibition. The winners will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and certificates. Besides, Manthan Art School will also sponsor their entry in the GoaFest, India's biggest ad festival.
'Doodle Social Ad Festival' hopes to provide a platform which will provide students exposure to the creative world of advertising, while allowing professionals to experience the innovations of the younger generation.
Experts like Sanjay Khare, Raymond Patell, Amol Gole, Rajesh Kulkarni, Saurabh Chandekar, and Saurabh Karandikar will provide guidance on subjects like Creativity in Advertising, Creative Corporatizing, Branding, Creative Visualisation, and Career in Innovative Media.
Last day to register for free entry for the festival is January 6, 2014. For further information please check www.doodleadfest.com.
"Advertising is a creative field. But creativity will acquire true meaning if it is used for the better of society. Artists should be curious about the questions that are raised due to the system and should look to use their art to spread awareness about it. It is with this intention that the festival has been organized," says Manthan Art School Founder, Prof. Shashikant Gawali.
