Ayesha Ghosh has been elevated and will be taking over as Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Contract Advertisingâs Mumbai operations effective immediately.
âAyeshaÂ has been part of the leadership team at Contract and has workedÂ closelyÂ with me over the last few months to recalibrate our offerings and help shape the future of the office. A motivating team leader with strong people skills, she has led the thoughtÂ leadership for Contract, both internally and externally,â said Rana Barua, COO, Contract Advertising.
âAyesha has played a key role in winning new businesses for the office which include Sugar Free, RNA, Star Plus and the latest being Provogue Deodorants which was won following a multi-agency pitch,â Barua added.
Of her 17-year-long career, Ghosh has spent the last 12 years with Contract, where she has anchored the India chapter of the globally aligned HSBC business and has worked on a lot of Contractâs blue-chip clients. She has very successfully handled clients across diverse industries and categories with panache, be it Asian Paints, Cadbury, Tata Motors, Godrej, Disney Channel, CavinKareâs hair care portfolio (Nyle, Chik), jewellery brand Tara Jewels and Pfizer (Listerine and Gelusil).
Ghosh said, âItâs wonderfully rewarding to have spent a sizeable amount of time at one agency and to now be heading that office. The ethos and culture of Contract is such that it makes people want to stay here for a long time. Iâm thrilled to have come into this position of strength at a time when Contract is on an upswing.
