EMVIES 2013: Mindshare is Media Agency of the Year; HUL is Media Client of Year

Grand Emvie goes to ibs for its social media campaign for Tata Docomo. Lodestar UM wins maximum Gold awards and came in second after Mindshare

The 13th edition of the EMVIES, India’s most prestigious and coveted media awards organised by The Advertising Club, were given away at a grand ceremony on September 6, 2013 in Mumbai. Mindshare won the Best Media Agency of the Year award for 6th year in a row while Hindustan Unilever was declared Best Media Client of the Year. The Grand Emvie went to ibs.

Mindshare topped the winners tally according to the total points earned. The agency won a total of 165 points including 3 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze. Lodestar UM was at No. 2 with 150 points earned from 5 Gold, 7 Silver and 1 Bronze. The third position was held by Maxus with 120 points from 3 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze metals.

Mindshare also bagged the EMVIES Gold for Best Use of a Bollywood Celebrity in Media for the campaign ‘Active Wheel’ involving Salman Khan.

The EMVIES 2013 Gold for “Best use of a Bollywood Celebrity in Media” was presented by Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn along with zoOm’s CEO to the team from Mindshare for their campaign on Active Wheel involving Salman Khan. Powered by zoOm, India’s No. 1 Bollywood channel, the trophy honours the most unusual, innovative and relevant use of a Bollywood celebrity in a brand’s communication strategy.
