Times Internet appoints Pratik Mazumder as VP - Marketing

Times Internet, the largest Indian internet network, has beefed up its management team with senior level appointments. Pratik Mazumder has joined as Vice President, Marketing moving from Yatra.com. Pawan Agarwal has joined as a Business Head - Gaana.com, Swapnil Shrivastav joins as VP, ad tech and Miten Sampat has joined Times Internet as Business Head, Times City.

Pratik Mazumder comes armed with an experience of 19 years, during which he has worked with globally renowned brands such as Bharti Airtel and Yatra.com. He has made critical contributions in the areas of driving top line revenue, brand positioning and other key strategic initiatives. In the advertising space, he has worked with agencies such as Ogilvy One Worldwide, Enterprise Nexus Direct & Direct Response. Pratik also has experience in revenue & brand management, strategic planning, advertising and communication, key account management, product development insights, media planning, event management and public relations.

Pawan brings with him 12+ years of rich entrepreneurial experience, leading and building high growth technology businesses through ideation, change, crisis, growth and sale. Before joining Gaana, Pawan was the co-founder & COO at Sunstone Business School. Prior to Sunstone, Pawan was the Country Manager at Lime Labs, a US based leader in Internet based products where he built and sold two internet based businesses and set up the India Operations .Pawan was part of the initial technology team at Globallogic and architected various technology implementations in US. At TIL, Pawan would focus on the next phase of growth for Gaana.

Swapnil is an Adtech professional and a seasoned entrepreneur. He was Founder and CEO of two ventures. His first venture, Seeknet, was acquired by a leading ad network in the Bay Area in 2005 while his second venture, Vriti, raised over 7.5 MM USD from Intel and Jafco and was voted top 50 fastest growing tech companies by Deloitte in 2010, 2011 and voted Top 100 company by Red Herring Asia in 2011. He has held various key positions in his career including VP Products at Tribal Fusion, Research at Motorola in Chicago and Software development at Epiphany in California. His interests lie in programmatic advertising, big data and mobility. He is an IIT Bombay alumni and holds a Masters in CS degree from Chicago

Miten was earlier the VP of Product Strategy at Neustar, enabling some of the largest web companies understand “where” their users come from. Before Quova, Miten was Chief Architect & CTO at Feeva where he developed technology to enable ISP’s to provide metadata for targeted online advertising. Prior to Feeva, Miten co-founded & led the SeeVT project at Virginia Tech. He also worked at Reliance Communications in India to design, develop, and introduce value-added local services to mobile consumers in India . He has a BS & MS in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where he won the Outstanding Graduate Student of the year award in 2007.
