Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has handed over the group’s creative mandate to Ogilvy & Mather. This is the first time that JSPL has appointed a large-sized full service agency to handle its creative communications. The business will be handled out of Ogilvy’s Gurgaon office.
According to industry estimates, the account size is estimated at upwards of Rs 60 crore. The win came after a multi-agency pitch process in which McCann and Leo Burnett had also participated, according to sources.
Confirming the development, Manu Kapoor, Director, External Affairs & Corporate Communications, JSPL, said, “Ogilvy & Mather will handle the creative communications for both our corporate and business streams.”
On the prestigious win, Kapil Arora, President & Branch Head, Ogilvy North, said, “We are proud and excited to have been awarded the JSPL mandate. Being exposed to the JSPL way and vision has been inspiring for us and we look forward to creating some great work with them very soon.”
