BestMediaInfo.com had broken the news of LG’s media business moving to Havas Media Group on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, including details of the account being managed in India through Havas Media’s second agency, Arena. Our report also mentioned that the account had moved globally. As confirmation of our news, Havas Media Group today put out a press communique making the announcement officially.

The press statement says that Havas Media Group has been named the primary media partner for LG Electronics following an open, competitive review. Managed under its Arena brand, the group will oversee LG Electronics’ media business in over 60 countries. The announcement follows the unveiling of LG’s new corporate identity last week.

Dominique Delport, Havas Media Group Global Managing Director who led the pitch commented: “LG is one of the most prestigious and sought-after global electronics brands to go into pitch this year. The development of the Arena network and the current energy and enthusiasm within the Group creates a strong foundation from which to build this important partnership.”

Arena will continue to be managed by Havas Media Group’s Executive Committee, led by Alfonso Rodés, Havas Media Group’s CEO and Dominique Delport. It may be mentioned here that Anita Nayyar heads both Havas Media and Arena in India.
