The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity has announced the introduction of a new competition – the Spikes Asia Student Creative Award for Print – which will provide an exciting platform for students to kick-start their future careers and gain recognition amongst some of the most respected creatives across the region.

The competition which launches today, July 9, 2013, is free to enter, and is open to all APAC students up to 25 years of age, in full-time education. Answering to a brief set by Unicef, the world's leading organisation working to protect child rights and development, students will have until August 13, 2013, to produce an original poster which will be judged by a panel of international industry leaders, members of the Spikes Asia juries.

Full entry details and the brief set by Unicef are now available here.

The shortlisted entries will be exhibited to all delegates during the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity (September 15-17, 2013). The winner will be honoured at the Spikes Asia awards ceremony on September 17.

“This is a truly an un-missable opportunity for students to showcase their skills to the creative industry's key decision-makers whilst benefiting a deserving not-for-profit organisation,” said Steve Latham, Spikes Asia's Director of Talent & Training. “Spikes Asia is committed to nurturing and promoting the creative talent of the younger generation, so by launching the Spikes Asia Student Creative Award for Print we want to encourage students to participate in this valuable competition that could ultimately be the launch of a career.”

Students from the following countries are eligible to enter the competition: Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, The Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tasmania, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
