Multi Screen Media (MSM) has appointed Vaishali Sharma as marketing and communications head for its Hindi movies and special events channel Sony Max.
Sharma's last assignment was with Times Now which she quit in March 2012 as Vice-President, Marketing. Before Times Now she was with BBC Global News as head of marketing for South Asia, and prior to that was with Walt Disney Television as head of marketing.
Sharma's 20-year experience has been rich and diverse, spanning across various business verticals including brand and television channel launches, category creation, building brands in new media and adapting global strategies to bolster local brands.
Announcing Sharma's appointment, Neeraj Vyas, EVP & Business Head – Max, said, “We are delighted to have Vaishali join the team at this important juncture and we are certain that her experience and understanding of the business and our audience will help us achieve our objective of becoming the leading player in the genre.”
Sharma said of her new role, “I am extremely delighted to begin my second stint with the network.
