publive-imageWeek 14 (March 30-April 6) of TAM 2013 was the first week reflecting the impact of both DAS-II and IPL 6. While the entire television viewership dropped by 7 per cent, Hindi general entertainment channels witnessed a drop of 10 per cent. Phase 2 of digitisation helped the universe grow marginally by 2.9 lakh viewers at an HSM CS 4+ level and added 4.5 million viewers to the digital basket in its first week of reporting. The analog-digital universe split changed from 57:43 to 54:46.

The shows on Hindi GECs witnessed a decline in their ratings across channels in Week 14. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 14 (March 30-April 6) of TAM 2013, Star Plus continued with five shows among the top 10 weekday shows followed by Colors and Zee TV with two shows each. SAB's Tarak Mehta continues to be in the top 10 club.

Star Plus' new weekend show, Nach Baliye Shrimaan Shrimati, opened at 2.3 TVR. The world television premiere of Dabang 2 on Star Plus fetched 4.9 TVR on March 31, Sunday at 9 pm and accrued 28 GRPs for the channel. Star Plus' Nach Baliye Shrimaan Shrimati topped the chart pushing India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV to No. 2.

Weekday toppers

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus continued to rule the weekday programming chart. The show averaged at 4.2 TVR (last week 4.6).

Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai climbed one position to No. 2 and averaged at 3.6 TVR this week (last week 3.6).

The third position was also held by Star Plus' show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai that fetched an average rating of 3.3 TVR (last week 3.5).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped two positions to No. 4 with 3.2 TVR against last week's 3.6 TVR.

Veera on Star Plus was the only show among the top 10 shows that registered growth in ratings. It climbed two positions to No. 5. The show garnered an average TVR of 3.1 this week (last week 3.0).

Colors's Madhubala held its ratings this week and climbed four positions to No. 10 with an average TVR of 2.9 (last week 2.9).

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV slipped two positions to No. 7. The show fetched 2.9 TVR (last week 3.2).

Star Plus' Saathiya also slipped two positions to No. 8 with an average of 2.9 TVR (last week 3.1).

Colors' Balika Vadhu dropped further to No. 9 this week. The show averaged at 2.8 TVR this week (last week 3.0).

Zee TV's Qubool Hai was at No. 10 with an average TVR of 2.5 (last week 2.9).

Weekend toppers

Star Plus' Nach Baliye Shrimaan Shrimati opened at 2.3 TVR on April 6, 2013 and became the most watched weekend show during Week 14.

India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV slipped to No. 2 position with an average TVR of 2.2 (last week 2.4).

Sony's crime show CID recorded an average TVR of 2.2 (last week 2.3).

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, fetched 2.0 TVR this week (last week 2.0).

Comedy Circus ke Ajoobe on Sony averaged 1.9 TVR (last week 2.0).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 1.5 TVR (last week 1.7).
