Dentsu Communications has hired Vedobroto Roy and Deepak Singh as Executive Creative Directors and Creative Heads for the Mumbai office. Roy was previously working with Leo Burnett, Dhaka, while Singh has joined Dentsu Communications from DDB Mudra, Mumbai.

Roy started his career at Ogilvy Mumbai, moved to JWT Delhi and then went to Cheil Delhi. Next, he worked for Leo-Burnett, Dhaka. For the past 12-13 years, he has worked on prestigious brands including Pepsi and Samsung, across agencies and geographies. Apart from working on Brand Pepsi, the team headed by him relaunched 7 UP and Tropicana.

Roy also had a short entrepreneurial stint in Mumbai, where he created brands like iBall and YOU Broadband. Apart from his work being thoroughly effective – his work to launch Samsung Guru, Metro and Samsung Frrrunch refrigerator range were much talked abouthe is also well recognised for winning at all the major creative award platforms in the country and at international platforms like Cannes, One-Show, The New York Festival, etc.

Singh is one of the most awarded creative guys in recent times. Apart from his mainline responsibilities at DDB Mudra, Mumbai, where he worked on Philips, Electrolux, Emirates and World Wide Media Group, he was one of the key driving forces behind DDB Mudra winning creative awards in 2010 and 2011. So far he has won more than 300 awards at Cannes, One-Show, Adfest, Clio, Spikes, Abbys, to name some.

Singh has also worked on creative leadership roles at DDB Mudra, Bangalore and Delhi offices, where he worked on brands like UB Group, Peter England, Planet Fashion and Bata, to name a few. Before DDB Mudra, he had worked with Leo Burnett, Grey and McCann, working on brands like Vimal, Suzlon, Parle, Kinetic, Bajaj.
