All eyes are on Budget 2013. Will political and electoral considerations weigh more than hard economics this time or will the government take bold and unpopular measures to put the economy back on the path of recovery? To get a 360 degree perspective of what Budget 2013 will mean for you and me, CNN-IBN presents Budget Before Ballot, a special coverage that will make use of multi-pronged programming expertise to make sense of Union Budget and Rail Budget.

On February 28, the Budget Day programming will start with a pre-Union Budget show with Rajdeep Sardesai, Senthil Chengalvarayan and other experts including Mani Shankar Aiyar, Swapan Dasgupta, Shankar Acharya and Srivatsa Krishna. The show will stay live throughout the Budget speech by the Finance Minister. Starting 7:30pm, a special consumer-focused show will demystify what P Chidambaram's Budget means for the common man. This will be followed by a special interview with the Finance Minister at 8pm. At 8:30pm, Karan Thapar will offer a comprehensive analysis of the Budget with the help of an eminent panel. And at 9pm, Rajdeep and Senthil will host a two-hour Budget special show.
