Kellogg India has appointed Harpreet Singh Tibb as the new Marketing Director, India and South Asia, with effect from January 15, 2013. He moves from Hindustan Unilever where he was General Manager, Packaged Foods. Tibb joins the cereal market at a time when there is fierce competition in the breakfast space. He will be spearheading the marketing operations for India and South Asia, with the mandate to accelerate growth.
A graduate from IIM, Calcutta, Tibb will be taking the position left vacant by Vikram Bahl who has been with Kellogg India for a period of over four years. Bahl has shifted base to the US to take on the role of Associate Director, Snacks Marketing, Kellogg US.
During his 15 years at HUL, Tibb held different roles across the beverages, personal skincare and packaged foods business. He has been instrumental in the success of the Lifebuoy brand and has led a diverse portfolio of skin-cleansing brands – Dove, Lux International, Liril – and skin care brands Pears and Vaseline. He is also the man behind winning campaigns for Annapurna, Kissan and Knorr. In his role as Regional Beverages Director - South Asia, he managed a complex portfolio of nine brands across four countries.
The Kellogg India leadership has been strengthened significantly over the last one year with several external hires. TS Venketram, Supply Chain Director, joined from Britannia in February 2012. To lead sales, Kenny Abraham joined as Director of Sales from PepsiCo in April 2012. And Deepak Shrivastav joined Kellogg India in October 2012 as Chief Legal Counsel from GlaxoSmithKline.
