BIG FM's show 'Yaadon ka idiot box with Neelesh Misra' captured in books

Listeners in 35 Indian cities and along border towns in Pakistan have heard and loved Neelesh Misra's storytelling through two seasons of India's most innovative and awarded radio show, Yaadon Ka Idiot Box on 92.7 BIG FM. Now the stories will achieve immortality in the form of a series of books being launched on January 24, the opening day of the Jaipur Literature Festival, Asia's biggest.
The first two volumes of 'Neelesh Misra ka Yaad Sheher', a multiple volume of books that compile the stories already aired on 92.7 BIG FM now get captured for the reading pleasure of millions. An added treat for the audiences at the fest, will be a live storytelling and song performance where Neelesh Misra will tell a story and sing songs written by him.
This is the first example of radio content being developed into a series of books in India. The books will be available at all major bookstores as well as internet book purchase sites.
Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra, the primetime show on which Neelesh tells stories every day from the imaginary city of Yaad Sheher, is India's most awarded radio show, having most recently been honored for the most unique programming content at the Golden Mikes Awards. The Facebook page of the show, titled “Yaad Sheher with Neelesh Misra”, gets at least 5 million page views every month with the content being heard online in 20 countries.
Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra is produced by Neelesh's company Content Project Pvt. Ltd. for Reliance Broadcast Network, the parent company of 92.7 BIG FM.
The book series is being published by the joint venture of Westland and Yatra Books. The Hindi version will be followed by a series of Yaad Sheher books in English. Each volume will have 20 to 25 stories. Westland-Yatra has acquired the rights for six volumes of the book.
