After Airtel, Dish TV and Videocon d2h have announced that they will premiere Kamal Hasan's “Vishwaroopam” one day before its premiere in theatres.

All the three DTH operators will showcase this movie one day before its theatrical release, on the 10th of January, 2013. The movie is set to hit theatres on 11th Jan'13.

On Dish TV, the Indian Spy Thriller which is Written, Directed and Co-produced by Kamal Haasan is priced at Rs. 1000 for the Tamil version, if the subscriber books the order till 5th Jan'13, post which the subscribers would need to pay Rs. 1200 for their order, for a single show. The Hindi and Telugu versions of the movie are priced at Rs. 500. Tamil and Telugu versions are called Vishwaroopam and Hindi version of the same is named Vishwaroop.

Commenting on the initiative, Salil Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, Dish TVsaid “It is an idea whose time has come; we are glad that the movie fraternity is looking at this technology as a new revenue stream. As a pioneer in the DTH space, this is yet another first to Dish TV's credit.”

Commenting on the initiative, Kamal Haasan said “I'm delighted and proud to be associated with Dish TV, Asia's largest DTH operator, in this pioneering venture, which takes the combination of entertainment and technology to even greater heights. I am very happy that 14 million Dish TV subscribers would be able to enjoy 'Vishwaroop'/ 'Vishwaroopam' in the comfort of their homes.”

On Videocon d2h, the movie will be charged at Rs. 1000 per view in Tamil language (Channel No. 221), Rs. 500 per view for Telugu (Channel No. 219) and Hindi (Channel No. 220) languages. Vishwaroopam is a Tamil-Hindi bilingual spy thriller film written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan that features himself in the lead role.
