publive-imageSPARK PUNJABI, the regional General Entertainment Channel for the Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh (PCHP) region, from the joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios International has announced the launch of two new homegrown properties – Rasoi Di Rani starting December 3, 2012 and BIG Punjabi Jodiyan starting December 10,  2012.

Rasoi Di Rani is SPARK PUNJABI's first culinary show. Hosted by Reliance Broadcast Network Limited's Network Culinary Head and renowned Chef Rakesh Sethi, Rasoi Di Rani is a face-off challenge between two Indian housewives as they attempt to showcase the perfect recipes for common dishes being prepared by both contenders. The winner of the contest, adjudged by Chef Rakesh Sethi will win the title of 'Rasoi Di Rani' and a cash prize, with the added chance to compete in the next episode to retain her glory as the queen. The show will launch on 3rd December and will air every Monday to Thursday at 5.30pm.

BIG Punjabi Jodiyan is a show that aims to bring couples closer through a quiz that tests their understanding of each other as they rediscover their compatibility and strive to win a jackpot prize. The show will be hosted by RJ-cum-VJ Dhanveer and will explore the relationship between a husband and his wife. BIG Punjabi Jodiyan will air every Monday to Thursday at 8.30pm starting 10thDecember 2012.

Speaking about the launch of the new shows, a channel spokesperson said, “Staying true to our promise to provide variety entertainment to our audiences, we are proud to launch our two new homegrown properties – Rasoi Di Rani and BIG Punjabi Jodiyan. Both the shows will feature content pegs that will appeal to audiences, while providing marketers with multiple integration opportunities thereby enabling them to reach out to the target audiences more efficiently and effectively.”
