KU Rao, who was recently shifted from DNA, has been appointed as CEO of Essel Group's Siti Cable Network Ltd., the leading Cable Television service provider in India. Highly placed industry sources have confirmed the news to BestMediaInfo.com.

Prior to this, Rao spent over six years with Diligent Media Corporation, which owns Mumbai-based English newspaper DNA (Daily News & Analysis) as its CEO. Rao had had joined DNA as CEO on October 4, 2006. Prior to joining DNA, he had a strong sales background in a non-media company. Rao had spent 12 years with Shell as Global Head of Sales & Business Development for the car care business of Shell Lubricants, London.

Siti Cable Network Ltd operates successfully under the Siti Digital Cable brand name in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
