History TV18 presents one of the most daring research missions on the massive Great White Sharks with 'Shark Wranglers'. The series archives the most ambitious shark expedition in the history by tracking down the living pattern and behavioral antics of the deadliest creatures in the ocean. Leading a team of world-class fishermen, Chris Fischer, one of the finest ocean explorers embarks on the lethal quest of coming face to face with mammoth sharks. Risking their lives, on an untested and untried mission, these ocean explorers attempt to conduct a concrete research on massive Great White Sharks and protect the endangered species from extinction.
Sailing the treacherous waters of South Africa, Chris Fischer and his team take the business of shark tagging to a different echelon. Maneuvering their 126-foot boat in rolling waters, and tagging each one by their hand, Fischer and his elite team are the only people in the world who can take the credit of tagging sharks this way. With a goal of tagging 50 creatures in 40 days the team tests their tenacity to the ultimate limit as they battle through every conceivable setback.
The information Fischer collects will help solve the worldwide puzzle of where Great White Sharks gather en masse at various times of the year. This data could allay the fears of nervous swimmers by telling them when Great White Sharks are cruising off their local beach, but it will also protect sharks from shark-finners who kill up to tens of millions of sharks of all species every year. If this trend continues, Great White Sharks and other species could soon be gone, causing complete havoc to the ocean's food chain. Fischer wants to find out where sharks spend their time so those areas can be protected from finners.
The expedition not only puts Fischer and his crew in danger but also makes them face the challenge of negotiating between theirs and sharks' lives. The mission is the ultimate saga of age-old struggle between man and nature.
