Winners of the Central and State PSUs will be honoured at the award function in January 2013

The Jury meet of Dainik Bhaskar India Pride Awards 2012-13, was held on 7th December 2012 at Hotel Oberoi, New Delhi. The distinguished Jury was chaired by Former Chief Justice of India, Justice R. C. Lahoti. The other Members of the Jury committee included Dr. S.Y. Quraishi - Former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Alok Perti – Former Secretary, Ministry of Coal, R.S. Sharma - Former CMD, ONGC, M.V. Nair – Chairman, CIBIL, Frank Noronha - Director General, DAVP, Himanshu Goyal - Country Manager, IBM, L. Shivakumar – Sr. Group Vice President, ICRA, Munish Bhargava – Director, EADS India, Pradeep Dwivedi - CCSMO, Dainik Bhaskar Group, Sanjeev Kotnala - Vice President – Brand, Dainik Bhaskar Group and Jaideep Dhagat - National Head, Government Vertical as the observer.

The jury had gathered to select the winners of the Central and State PSUs in various categories who would be formally awarded during the award function in January 2013. These awards acknowledge and recognize contributions by Indian PSUs and the excellent work done by them in serving the nation. Wital See Marketing Limited is the Title Sponsor of India Pride Awards this year.

This year sees the 4th edition of the India Pride Awards which began in 2009 and is the only awards ceremony in India by a non-government body that acknowledges the efforts of Indian PSUs in nation-building. IPA extended its scope in 2011. In addition to the Central and State PSUs, two new categories, Social Change Agents and Impact Creator – Civil Servants, honouring individuals, were introduced. This year there is an introduction of another category, 'Best Creative – PSU'. This award is to recognize the advertising agency that has created the most impactful PSU campaign during the past one year.

There was a different set of Jury for evaluating this new Category which consisted of Emmanuel Upputuru - Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, ITSA, Ashish Chakravarti - Executive Creative Director,  McCann, Om Prakash - Additional General Manager, Power Finance Corporation, Naresh Kumar - Chief Manager, Corporate Communication, Power Grid, Anoop Joshi - AGM, Corporate Affairs, SAIL, Rohit Singh - Sr. Manager, Corp Comm, BHEL,  Pratap Suthan – Founder Head, Bang in the Middle, Sanjeev Kotnala - Vice President – Brand, Dainik Bhaskar Group. Jaideep Dhagat – National Head, Govt. Vertical was also present as the Observer for the jury meet.

These awards are one of its own kind and have met a thorough jury process supported by recommendations from the rating agency ICRA who are the “Knowledge Partners”.
