Red FM launches Diwali 'malamaal' campaign

It's simple: listeners simply have to tune in and count the number of ads played during a commercial break

BestMediaInfo Bureau | Mumbai | November 12, 2012

publive-imageRed FM is celebrating Diwali in an innovative manner in Delhi and Mumbai. The station is giving a chance to its listeners to be 'malamaal' with a simple contest idea. 'Red FM pe Ad Gino Paisa Jeeto' enables listeners to win cash prizes if they correctly count the number of ads played in a commercial break.

Commenting on the activity, Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP – Programming & Projects, Red FM, said, “This activity is a unique way to involve the listeners and ensure that they don't tune out during the commercial ads. While the listeners get a chance to win loads of cash on a correct answer, it also ensures that we deliver maximum ears for the ads they play on 93.5 Red FM. Here's wishing everyone a happy Diwali.”

Red FM expects this to break the monotone and clutter of Diwali contests across the industry. And the response already augurs well. Both Mumbai and Delhi are getting more than 10,000 SMS responses a day, literally making the activity a great opportunity for radio listeners of the two metro cities to get malamaal this Diwali.
