publive-imageIndia's biggest festival is here and the country's favorite FM radio station, Radio City 91.1 FM is putting behind all stops to ensure this Diwali is special for its listeners across India. Whether it is 'All Time Money' in Delhi or 'Ghar Aayi Lakshmi' in Mumbai, Radio City makes sure that Goddess Lakshmi smiles down on its listeners in her full glory. Spreading Diwali lights to lives of the less privileged amongst us, Radio City also says 'Zindagi Mubarak' to everyone.

The hugely popular 'All Time Money' (ATM) makes a comeback in Delhi following the footsteps of the goddess of wealth and prosperity. In Mumbai, ATM takes the avatar of 'Ghar Aayi Lakshmi' to regale our listeners. One needs to identify the collage of 3 Bollywood voices saying 'FM Bole Toh Radio City 91.1 FM'. The correct answer carries a whopping prize of Rs.10,000. The prize goes up by Rs 5000 per show in case no one gets the correct answer.

Lighting up Diwali in Lucknow, 'Kismat Dhan Mehnat' presents the bonanza of a 'Jackpot hour'. This is a simple contest that comes with an undisclosed 'jackpot hour' making one win double the prize. It's a matter of sheer 'kismat' to be able to play during the 'jackpot hour'. Taking the festive spirit forward, our Lucknow RJs spend a day with the kids at children's home 'Aastha Jyoti' celebrating the happy coincidence of Diwali and 'Children's day' this year.

Diwali is all about raising a toast to life, time to say 'Zindagi Mubarak' to all. This is exactly whatRadioCity attempts to do in Ahmedabad by placing 'Magic Boxes' around the city where people can donate gift items, we will be taking these 'boxes' to an NGO working for underprivileged children. InBangalore our special initiative gives listeners the opportunity to gift a brand new dress to a kid and personally interact with that kid. On the day of Diwali, our RJs visit the homes of these kids and distribute the goodies collected through the campaign.

Diwali is nothing without 'Fataako ka dhamaal'.RadioCity Pune brings 'dhamaal' full-on this Diwali with 'silent' crackers that create more noise in the household than any actual 'fataaka'. This 'fataaka' bursts out into LCD TVs, microwave ovens & refrigerators that the listeners can win on the show. One has to choose the 'fataaka' of his choice and answer the question related to it and win the exclusive 'gift of the day'.

Speaking on these myriad initiatives pan-India, Kartik Kalla, National Programming Head, Radio City 91.1 FM, says, “Festive programming for Diwali is always exciting for us. At Radio City we are constantly re-inventing ourselves to bring out the best for our listeners.  This is the time to celebrate the strong bond with our listeners. The spirit of celebration coupled with the bonding over 11 years translates into some of the most innovative and interesting campaigns.”

Among all the crackers & the noise pollution around us, an eco-friendly Diwali is really the need of the hour. With PlanetRadiocity.com bring home a 'green' Diwali with 'e diya' this year. A special tab on PlanetRadiocity's Facebook fan page urges people to light the 'e diya' and pledge their support for a socially responsible Diwali. All the Web Radio RJs on PlanetRadiocity.com clearly say 'no' to noise this Diwali & urge the listeners to do the same.
