India's largest radio network, 93.5 Red FM, has recently partnered with Chevrolet Global Indian Music Academy Awards. This is the third consecutive year of the association. This time Red FM invites listeners to be a part of the GiMA award ceremony to be held on October 1 at Yash Raj Studio, Mumbai. The evening show 'Mumbai Local', aired from Monday to Saturday between 5 PM - 9 PM will test the listeners' music knowledge, and six lucky couples will be chosen to attend the GiMA Awards.

The celebration of the tie-up between Red FM and GiMA kicked off last month. An announcement and nomination party was held where the crème de la crème from the music fraternity were invited. GiMA nominated stars performed at the party and were also roped in for the popular “Gaake Bajaa” activity on Red FM. Prior to the event; a few listeners won the chance to attend the nomination party by entering a contest.

Additionally, the radio station also ran a campaign to determine the 'Radio Song of the Year', based on public demand. Listeners had to vote for their favourite song amongst five nominations given by Red FM. The song that has received the highest votes would be awarded at the ceremony on October 1 by a senior representative of Red FM
