A former WPP hand, Deepak Gandhi has taken the entrepreneurial route with the launch of Cyberkoms DGtal, an end-to-end digital agency. After a stint of four and a half years with WPP agencies Quasar and Possible Worldwide, Gandhi left the group late last week.
Cyberkoms DGtal covers all areas in the digital domain like development and maintenance of micro sites, websites, apps, mobile sites, vortals/portals, e-commerce set-up to development, search engine optimisation, online reputation management, etc.
Announcing the launch, Gandhi said, “I have realized over the last few years that for a brand it is important that the execution happens well on time with the highest degree of quality and within the budget allocated. Brand managers today face several challenges right from deciding ways and means to reach their audience, engage them, divide their budgets between the various channels available and, most importantly, estimating the ROI. At Cyberkoms DGtal, we bring a rich exposure and insights to help brands with answers to these.”
Among one of the founding members of Quasar Mumbai, Gandhi joined the agency in 2008 as Group Account Manager and rose to become Regional Director - West by 2011. Then the division of Quasar which he was heading (Technology & Web solutions) was rechristened as 'Possible Worldwide'. He was responsible for managing the P&L of the branch.
Gandhi played a key role in winning/retaining major accounts like Eureka Forbes, Reliance MF, Eros International, L&T Insurance, L&T Finance, L&T Infrastructure, Lodha Group and Skoda, serving various aspects of their digital initiatives like microsite/website development and maintenance, search engine optimisation, online reputation management, development of mobile site and apps, etc.
Gandhi started his career in digital in 1999. He worked as a web designer in a couple of organisations and later on moved to a business role.
Gandhi also runs the e-commerce venture www.naturalkart.com, an online destination for organic and natural products.
