9XM, India's leading Bollywood Music Channel has collaborated with ace percussionist Taufiq Quershi's band – Mumbai Stamp to create a special video for the upcoming Ganesh festival. Titled Taal Pranam, the composition is a special tribute to Lord Ganesh and will be aired exclusively on 9XM all through the Ganesh festival, starting 18th September 2012.
Composed by music genius Taufiq Qureshi, Taal Pranam has the high-octane beats of Nashik Dhol, Pune Dhol and many other local sounds which are created without the actual use of the musical instruments. The instruments used to create this masterpiece are recycled cans and drums which reinforces 9XM's belief in providing the viewers with something innovative in the music space.

This special rendition Taal Pranam is an apt tribute by the channel to all the devotees of Lord Ganesh for this auspicious season.”
Taufiq Qureshi, known for his trademark style that incorporates body and vocal percussions to create unique rhythm, created this special tribute which will be played on 9XM till the Ganesh visarjan day on 29th September 2012.
Speaking of his association with 9XM, Taufiq Quershi said “Lord Ganesha is also known as the father of Rhythm and this special rendition is our way to pay tribute to the music maestro. We had an amazing experience of creating Taal Pranam and hope that the viewers will enjoy it as much as we did creating it.”
