Cannes Lions 2012: Creativeland Asia secures maiden nomination in Creative Effectiveness

The shortlisted campaign had recently won two FABulous awards at FAB Awards in London

After winning two FABulous awards at the recently held FAB Awards in London, the ‘Plan-T’ campaign for Hippo Baked Munchies by Creativeland Asia has secured a maiden shortlist in the Creative Effectiveness category at Cannes Lions 2012.

The Creative Effectiveness category was introduced last year at Cannes Lions and attracted 142 entries from 33 countries out which seven entries were from India. This year, there were only two entries from India in this category.

Creative Effectiveness entries, which were either shortlisted or Lion winners last year and therefore have already been established as being creatively world-class, are rewarded for Strategy (25 per cent), Idea (25 per cent) and Results (50 per cent).

BBDO India had brought home a Creative Effectiveness Lion last year for its ‘Women against Lazy Stubble’ campaign for P&G’s Gillette Mach3 Razors.

David Jones, Global Chief Executive Officer, Havas and Euro RSCG Worldwide, Global, is the Jury President for Creative Effectiveness Lions, and Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director & Chief Marketing Officer, Parle Agro, is a jury member from India.

The winners of Creative Effectiveness Lions will be announced on tomorrow, June 19, 2012.
