UTV Stars launches ‘Lux The Chosen One’ with Genelia Deshmukh

The reality show marks the official hunt for the face of the channel

Have you ever imagined what it must feel like to be the intimate insider of Bollywood? To hob-knob with the who’s who of the inner circle (of Bollywood) and get Up, Close and Personal with them? It would indeed be the chance of a lifetime, wouldn’t it? Well, that is precisely what UTV STARS is about to do, give 11 lucky girls the chance of a lifetime with the launch of their latest show, Lux The Chosen One! These girls will experience their first brush with Bollywood and thereby stardom itself while they compete to win the coveted title of ‘Lux The Chosen One’!

‘Lux The Chosen One’, marks the official hunt for the face of UTV STARS – the official channel of Bollywood. 11 lucky girls have been chosen via on ground auditions held in 5 different cities, namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. These 11 girls will now be brought to the city of dreams, Mumbai and put up in a luxurious 5 star hotel that will double up as their abode for as long as they’re on the show. Thus begins the journey of ‘Lux The Chosen One’

The 11 girls will undergo extensive grooming and training on the show and will be put through several tasks to test their mettle. For example:

After an all-night party, the girls are woken up at 5 am in the morning and are asked to look their best. A meeting with an international make - up artist to judge who’s put their best foot forward is on the cards. Who has covered up their tired eyes the best?

An ace fashion designer’s show wherein the girls get the opportunity to walk the ramp and are judged by the fashion designer himself/herself

Shoot a promo with an ad film director – with some really unique creative. The girls will have to promote themselves as the anchors of a show and convince people to watch their show. They will be given props and asked to position themselves as the most desirable anchor on UTV Stars.

While the tasks for these girls are nothing short of fascinating, what’s even more fascinating is the presence of a Mentor to guide the contestants through each of these tasks! And brace yourselves, for the Mentor is none other than the bubbly and vivacious Genelia Deshmukh! Since the show aims to serve as a stepping stone for a successful entry into Bollywood, what better person to mentor the girls than Genelia, who’s an integral part of the industry and knows what it takes to be part of it.

Genelia will be the contestants’ friend, confidante cum guide through the show and will play a key role in nurturing the contestants as they face challenges put forth. She being an integral part of the industry will help the girls hone the right skills to be part of this ever glamorous world.

Besides the show mentor who will play a key role in training and honing the skills of the contestants, every episode will witness the presence of one film star! In fact each of the tasks will be designed and judged by the film star himself/herself! Ace designers, renowned directors, make – up artists and other technicians from the industry will also be part of the show.

While the show is a hunt for the face of the channel, it is notches above a regular anchor hunt.
