Ogilvy & Mather is set to unveil the new campaign for Vodafone during this season of IPL. As a teaser to 'keep them guessing', the company has released three teaser campaigns named 'Sumo', 'Cheerleaders' and 'Fairy'. Work is underway on the main campaign and will be launched shortly.
All the three teasers open in a stadium where the crowd is cheering during a cricket match. One of the 10-second teasers, Fairy, sees a long line of people standing outside a pee-booth in a stadium. While the crowd is seen cheering, a man dressed as a fairy steps out of the booth. The second version, Cheerleaders, sees a man dressed as a caterpillar walking past the cheerleaders as the crowd cheers on. We also see a man in his tracks running with a pole. Sumo features two men, dressed from head-to-toe as sumo wrestlers, wrestling as the crowd keeps cheering.
To ensure the secrecy of the main campaign, O&M and Vodafone officials declined to give any details on the teaser campaign.
The teasers end by announcing, 'Fun begins soon'. Would the 'fun' create as much excitement as the ZooZoos? Well, all we can do is wait and watch!
