NDS has announced that it is supporting Hathway, a leading cable operator, to rapidly expand its digital pay-TV platform in accordance with the Digital Addressable System rollout, through the expansion of its headend capabilities.
Hathway, including associate companies GTPL and Hathway Bhaskar, currently have 1.5 million subscribers offering 200 SD channels and 16 HD channels. This new deployment will enable the delivery of digital cable TV to five million subscribers over the coming two years. Hathway is the only cable operator in India to provide such a wide spectrum of solutions, from SD and HD zapper boxes to digital video recorders (DVR).
