Sony is back at No. 2; Life OK takes a huge leap

Opening of the year has not been exciting for the top four GECs as they lose eyeballs in the first week of TAM 2012

The first week of 2012 has not been exciting for the top four GECs as they have registered some decline in their GRPs. However, Sony Entertainment Television has come back to the No. 2 position. The recently launched Life OK channel has taken a huge leap of 24 GRPs in Week 1 of TAM 2012.

Star Plus leads the Hindi GEC category with 311 GRPs in the first week of TAM 2012 (last week 325).

Sony has started the year as the No. 2 GEC. The channel has garnered 236 GRPs this week (last week 240).

Colors has garnered 213 GRPs (last week 256). The Grand Finale of Bigg Boss Season 5 has fetched 3.6 TVR for the channel.

Zee TV has suffered a loss of few GRPs in the first week of TAM 2012, recording 184 GRPs (last week 194).

SAB TV has seen a robust growth at the start of the New Year, registering 124 GRPs (last week 113).

The No. 6 channel from the first week of its launch, Life OK has taken a huge leap in the third week of its launch. The channel has recorded 98 GRPs this week (last week 74)

Imagine TV has recorded 64 GRPs this week (last week 72).

Sahara One has 42 GRPs (last week 35).
