Kicked off on December 7, the twelve part series to telecast on every Wednesday at 10:00 pm
December 9, 2011:
Science fiction is not just for the movies! Cyborgs, shape shifting transformers, the colonisation of space and a lot more, can they be made possible? Internationally-renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku is on a mission to create an imaginary world indistinguishable from the real world.
In Discovery Science's new series SCI FI SCIENCE, Dr. Kaku zips ahead in time to unearth technological capabilities that would transform today's science fiction into usable technology tomorrow; much sooner than we think! A twelve part series, SCI FI SCIENCE will premiere every Wednesday at 10:00 pm starting December 7 on Discovery Science.
SCI FI SCIENCE takes on numerous traditional science fiction themes such as alien invasion, discovering a new solar system, and travelling through black holes. The series features breakthrough research and highly advanced technologies in an attempt to provide seemingly unconceivable solutions to the most challenging scientific obstacles.
Rahul Johri, Senior Vice President & General Manager - South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific said, “Discovery Science's unique programming continues to present intriguing concepts and entertain viewers world-wide. Renowned physicist and international personality Dr. Michio Kaku pushes the boundaries of technology and human ingenuity in Sci-Fi Science.”
An internationally recognised authority in theoretical physics and one of the brightest scientific minds of our times, Dr. Kaku is best identified as co-founder of String Theory, who has a goal in life to complete Einstein's dream of "theory of everything". Catch him on Discovery Science as he leaves no stone unturned to bring to light the realities of Science Fiction in SCI FI SCIENCE!
