November 11, 2011:

publive-imageMumbai and its Kachi kairi panipuris, dahi papri and pav bhaji are what draw in the crowds from all over the country. What makes these delicacies so special to Mumbai?

Chef Vikas Khanna and MasterChef contestants Jyoti Arora, Rajat Nagpal, Rajendra Mane and Shazad Variava come to your city to explore the tangy vibrants in Elco's panipuris, meet the men behind the city's favorites and to add a peppy tadka to make them even better.

Explore the flavor in ELCO's panipuris and the essence in their traditional chaat with the Zaaykebaaz of the country who are all set to change the way India consumes food - thus living upto the motto of MasterChef India season 2, “Ab Badlo India Apne Khane Ka Andaz.”

Nitin Vaidya, Business Head, Hindi Channels, STAR India says, “Our focus on MasterChef India this year has only been towards food. While our chefs are doing an in-depth research in food before the shoot of every episode, we are also targeting to capture food at all levels, this activity will showcase the local flavour of each city that stimulates every individual's taste buds.”

Chef Vikas Khanna adds, “It is indeed a great opportunity for our MasterChef team as these local vendors are the ones who developed the local food culture of the city. We are looking at learning some tips from these MasterChefs in their own right and to also embrace them with our special MasterChef aprons for the brilliant work they are doing in keeping up with the consistency and excellence of the preparation.”
