publive-imageMulti-system operator Hathway has announced the launch of its new high-definition (HD) service for subscribers in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Hathway's HD service currently includes a pack of eight channels comprising Colors, Discovery, Movies Now, Ten HD, History, UTV Stars, TravelXP and MTunes.

The Hathway HD service will be enabled by Media Highway set-top box software. The service will be navigated through a state of the art user interface with an electronic programme guide (EPG) and enhanced features to provide enhanced viewing experience.

K Jayaraman, Managing Director & CEO, Hathway Cable & Datacom, said, “Being the pioneers in the digital cable service industry, we are committed to offering premium services to our subscribers.”

Hathway HD service is available in various standalone and bundled packages such as HD Lite, HD Max and Max +. The MSO has said it will scale up the offering to 20 HD channels in the near future from the current eight HD channels.

Hathway is offering the HD Lite package at Rs 6,666 for a year and includes HD channels for one year and 160 plus SD channels.

The bundled HD Max package is for Rs 8,888 and includes HD channels for a year and 160 plus SD channels. This includes broadband service for a year at 2 Mbps speed and 40 GB download.
