publive-imageWith the clear target of egging on fresh film-makers, artists and their work and also, to promote the arts and media culture among the general public through independent film, video and new media, The UFO 0110 International Digital Film Festival is now open for entries from across the world. UFO 0110 IDFF is India's only film festival to recognise and promote “different cinema”.  It will take place from the 23rd of February to the 1st of March 2012 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.  Entries will be open until 20th December 2011.

The films that will be accepted in the festival will be films shot on the Digital format as it is the format that encourages and helms new thought and styles of filmmaking. Added to that, it can be very inexpensive and at the same time it can deliver comparable quality to conventional formats. This format has brought in a new visual language to the world of moving images. The festival will see awards in various genres of feature films, short films, animation, documentaries and student films. And if this isn't exhilarating enough, there will also be a competition for digital art. Two more exciting competitions, 'Films shot on mobile phones' and 'Film in one week' will be held during the duration of the festival capturing the spirit and essence of digital filmmaking.

UFO 0110 IDFF has made a call for the entries from across the world. The number of expected entries is around 800 to 1000 and expected number of films to be screened is around 110. The number of countries to participate in this festival will be approximately 35.
