publive-imageDoes it bother you that millions of children across the globe are unable to reach their full potential because their basic rights are denied? Children across the world are dying from preventable diseases and are subjected to violence, abuse and discrimination.

But now, you can do your bit to transform somebody's life with 'Own a Colour', a unique, online, life-energizing fundraising initiative from Dulux Paints.

Powered by Dulux, 'Own a Color' is yet another example of our firm belief in contributing to the community as demonstrated through our 'Lets Colour' program. Dulux which believes in 'Adding Colour to People's Lives', has already helped to improve the living environment of many people across the world through its 'Let's Colour' campaign; which is all about transforming spaces  through colour.

'Own a colour' is a unique fundraising initiative, offering everyone the chance to purchase and 'own' one of 16.77 million colours. When you own a colour, you bring hope and optimism into another's life by supporting them to inch a step closer to their dreams. For a minimum donation of £1, any colour can be bought from the website www.ownacolour.com; with every pound raised helping to transform the lives of vulnerable children across the globe. All money raised from this initiative will go directly to UNICEF, and will be used for a creating a better social and economic life for underprivileged children.

Talking about this, David O'Brien, Global Innovation Director, Dulux said, “I am delighted to announce Dulux's support of a unique fundraising challenge, 'Own a Colour'. Our mission of 'Adding Colour to People's Lives' is closely aligned to the vision of Own a Colour. Through our Let's Colour programme, we have already helped to improve the living environment of many people around the world. Own a Colour is one more activity associated with this programme. There are 16.77 million colours and we want to sell as many as possible to transform children's lives. We hope to receive strong support from people across the world on this and aim to transform the lives of vulnerable children across the world.”

You can be the proud owner of a unique colour that represents something close to your heart and at the same time helps save a life. All you have to do to buy one of the 16.77 million colours is to log on to www.ownacolour.com. The website is accessible in 5 languages; English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. For convenience of payment, different currency payments are offered in the World Pay system.

Sir Roger Moore, British actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador supports the Own a Colour initiative. Talking about this, he said, 'I am the proud new owner of a shade of blue, which I have named 'Swedish Blue'. It is the colour of the Swedish flag, the homeland of my very wonderful and very beautiful wife, Kristina, and not far off the cyan blue that represents UNICEF. Both Kristina and UNICEF are extremely close to my heart - they are part of who I am and all that is good and great in this world.”

As Pushkar Jain, Marketing Manager, Dulux Paints, AkzoNobel India, sums up, “Own a colour harnesses the power of colour and your contribution WILL have a positive impact on saving lives of children. Thousands of people across the world are supporting this initiative.”
