21 shortlisted enterprises to compete in a reality show on ET Now for the coveted honour

publive-imageVodafone Essar, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, in its run up to the much awaited Motor sporting event in India, has received an overwhelming response of over 75,000 entries in 40 days for its Vodafone Drive into the Big League initiative. 21 shortlisted small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will debate on a reality show on a leading business channel all through October 2011 for the coveted spot of having their logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Cars. The winning enterprise will be announced a few days prior to the race weekend (October 28-30, 2011) in Delhi.

Out of the 75,000 entries, 21 finalists were shortlisted for the television debate. These were the companies that had the fastest growth rate in the last three years and they spoke about how they used innovation to help grow their business. These 21 finalists will now present their cases to an expert panel comprising of Rajeev Karwal- Founder & CEO, Milagrow, Vani Kola – MD, IndoUS Venture Partners, and Satya Narayan R – Founder & Chairman, IWSB & CL Educate. This esteemed panel will be joined by another expert, Raman Roy -Chairman & MD, Quattro BPO Solutions, American Express for the grand finale.

In the 8 part reality television series, the jury will evaluate the 21 participants (3 participants per episode) on the robustness of their business models and their individual growth strategies. The 7 winners from these shows will go to the grand finale where the jury will provide the finalists with real situations that each of their businesses could face and how they would work around those situations. Overall, the show is a must watch for any established or budding entrepreneur to see how 21 different minds analyze business situations and find an easier path to growth.

The 'Vodafone Drive into the Big League' gives a lifetime opportunity to Small & Medium enterprises (SME's) to have their logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars that will race at the motor racing event to be held in Noida from 28th to 30th October 2011. Enterprises with less a total employee base of 1000 were eligible to participate in this contest, entries for which ended on September 25, 2011.
