Just a little more than a month to go and the making of the title track of 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' makes you wonder how big the movie shall turn out to be when it releases on 9th September, 2011.
Imran Khan has hit the nail on the head when he says that the title song portrays the theme of the movie perfectly. 'Mere Brother ki Dulhan' is a fun and endearing song and that is just what the movie is expected to be about. Director Ali Abbas Zafar says, “The song is basically a travel song that breaks out while Imran Khan travels from Mumbai to Dehradun.” What makes the song an instant hit is not only the lyrics, that Imran Khan describes as “funny and appealing”, but also Bosco and Caesar's choreography. In fact, there was a lot of thought put into the whole filming of the song. “The song is filmed in a way to pay a tribute to the Khans. Thus it starts out with paying a tribute to Aamir Khan at the airport shot, to Salman Khan atop the bus and to Shah Rukh Khan during the train shot”, says the duo.
The portion of the song shot on the roof of the train proved to be a bit tricky for Imran Khan as he recounted mock-seriously, “As I was standing atop the train there were times when I felt a bit of jhatkas and I felt a bit nervous then but I didn't let that get to me.”
The director mentioned during the making of the title song that once the shooting of the song began it just got bigger and in a month's time who is to say how much more bigger it shall become.
