The Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) is all set to host the fourth edition of the annual national convention, EEMAGINE 2011, which will feature seminars and discussions related to the event and experiential marketing industry. EEMAGINE this year will be conducted from 4th August â 6th August, 2011 at The Zuri White Sands Resort & Casino in Varca, Goa.
EEMA was established with a vision to unify the event and entertainment industry and lay down professional standards of management. The association functions as a unified voice for the industry to the Government, statutory bodies, taxation authorities and private licensing bodies.
Currently EEMA has more than 100 members including some of the biggest players in the field. In fact, it is estimated that that EEMA members contribute to more than 70% of the organized turnover of this industry.
In addition to protecting its memberâs interests in various forums, EEMA also acts as a repository of knowledge for its members in terms of providing a databank on venues, Â artists & vendors and advising its members on safety standards, employee codes of conduct and best practices of the industry.
In a short span of three years, EEMAGINE is already recognized as an event for professionals associated with the events and marketing industry. In fact, this year, EEMAGINE has already seen registration from nearly 250 professionals from the event industry.
In addition to the seminars, EEMAGINE will also acknowledge the work of the individuals in the event and experiential marketing space with the third edition of the EEMAX Awards. EEMAX will have 66 awards in 22 diverse categories with more than 100 agencies sending in over 500 nominations.
The jury panel for EEMAX comprises of some of the most prominent people from the industry like Sameer Kapoor, CEO, NDTV India, Nirmal Dayani, Senior Director Marketing, ESPN Software India Pvt. Ltd., H.V. Subramaniam, Chairman, Publicis Capital, Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India Pvt. Ltd., Subhash Kamath, Managing Partner, BBH and Nalin Kapoor, General Manager - Marketing Strategy, Hyundai Motor India Limited.
The main aim of the gathering is to highlight the achievements and milestones of the events and experiential marketing industry over the years and discuss the bright and lucrative future of the fast growing industry. The theme for the fourth edition of EEMAGINE is âScaling upâ and is launched with a vision to take the industry to the next level of success and prosperity.
The key note speaker at the convention will be Â â Deep Kalra, founder & CEO of leading online travel portal MakeMyTrip who will be giving the key note address on âScaling up: The Business/Organizationâ as well as âHow to create a great work environmentâ.
